Turnip Rock – October 2, 2021

October 2, 2021 turned out to be a great day to paddle out of Port Austin to one of the most interesting sites in the lower peninsula – Turnip Rock! We assembled at the DNR launch site in town and headed east for about three miles, passing over the reef where we caught some breaking waves, soon we came to rock ledges and bluffs, and rounded the corner to Turnip Rock.
